We celebrated 9 years of Marriage

On April 21st, Rebecca and I celebrated 9 years of marriage with a special breakfast of crepes (we learned to make them from watching the Food Network). The kids joined us and Amber and Alyssa enjoyed coffee with us, feeling grown up. I am so blessed to be married to such a wonderful woman. Rebecca has been my true joy these last 9 years. We have been through a lot and have weathered a few storms together, but I feel our love is stronger than ever. She deserves a much more lavish celebration than this, but I gotta say . . . the crepes were pretty dang good.

To my sweetheart, I say:

I am still magnetized.
You are still my true north.

Happy Birthday Alyssa!

Our Alyssa is 8 years old! So far she has had an exciting year. She played on a team in Upwards basketball for the first time this year. Their uniforms were blue and orange (shhh... don't tell Cameron bout these Auburn colors haha). Her last game was last Saturday and she made TWO baskets!! It was so much fun and we can't wait to do basketball again next year!

Alyssa-you have brought so much joy to our family. Daddy and I are so blessed God gave you to us to love, nurture, educate, and raise you up in a Godly home and in an awesome Godly church! We have watched you grow physically and spiritually and we know God has wonderful things in store for you and for your life to help further the kingdom of Christ in the years to come. We are so proud of you in everything you do. The world would be a better place if more people were like you. We pray God will fill you with his spirit as you continue to love others the way Christ loves you. Happy Birthday My Sweet Baby Girl!! (pink just for you).

She got some new clothes. She LOVED this dress! The smudge on her face is Ice Cream haha.

Jason and I never liked High Tops when they were in style and still don't but our girls love them.

Grandma and Poppy's card.

She wanted a totally different kind of cake this year. I found a $2 heart shaped pan at walmart and bought cookie dough then added ice cream balls with candles...it was fun to do with her and definitely different.

Madison somehow put a cracker on her head and it was stuck and she kept laughing at us. She is so sweet and too cute for her own good!

And now for our Basketball girl!! Lady Eagles!! YAY! WHOOHOO! Okay, so I get a little excited....it's the competitor in me ;p

I will work on some new pics soon!

February 2010 Snow! Lots of it!

Hello sweet family! I'm sorry this is late. Here is the most snow we have seen in TX since we moved here five years ago. Fort Worth hit a record of about 10 inches of snow. I was so beautiful! We enjoyed every minute of it. Enjoy the pictures and I am working on my next post about Alyssa's birthday.

Merry Christmas and wrapping up the year!

Merry Christmas everyone! It's been a very stressful year but also many blessings. I am so thankful for the love of God in sending us his only son for us, Jesus! I am especially thankful he poured his love out on me with snow. It's my first white Christmas. I am also so thankful for my children God has blessed me with and a new husband and awesome new marriage God is growing us up to be for his Glory. I pray that 2010 will be a year to grow in the Lord and bring him honor and Glory in all we do and above all....I pray we are filled with his spirit so others will see Jesus living in us.

I made this Christmas wreath a few weeks ago. It's real and I made it for free from left over tree stems from our tree. Amber went outside and picked me some holly buds. I have wanted to make one every year since Jason and I married almost 9 years ago but I finally did it this year.

Jason took me to a bed and breakfast back in November for my birthday. Its called the "Iron Horse Inn" and it's located in Granbury, TX about an hour from were we live.
It is a beautiful historical home!
We stayed in the cottage because we had to bring Madison with us. It was perfect!
